It’s likely coffee fans across the country have already sampled some Peppermint Mocha, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Caramel Brulee Lattes, Chestnut Praline Lattes, Eggnog Lattes, or the annual Christmas Blend coffee. This tasty treat is made with classic Starbucks Cold Brew and is flavored with Irish Cream syrup. As a festive flair, it is topped with vanilla sweet cream cold foam and cocoa powder.
“The flavors of vanilla and cocoa in our newest Holiday beverage perfectly complement the smooth, Starbucks Cold Brew, to create a deliciously festive sip,” Starbucks said in a press statement.
“It pairs so well with cold brew because of the chocolate flavor in the Irish cream and the cocoa notes from the coffee,” said Erin Marinan, product developer for Starbucks R&D. “I think about that customer who’s in the middle of work or shopping, and this will help get them into the holiday spirit for the rest of the day.”
Of course, every Starbucks holiday beverage comes in a festive themed cup. For 2019, there are be four different designs, called Merry Dance, Merry Stripes, Polka Dots, and Candy Cane Stripes. When you bring any of these reusable cups back to Starbucks stores through January 7, you’ll also get 50 cents off your next grande holiday beverage. That just means you get to try more delicious options!
The Starbucks Irish Cream Cold Brew will be available across the United States and Canada for a limited time, now through the 2019 holiday season.
There’s something magical about the best holiday towns around the world. Their fairy tale allure conjures heartwarming feelings of nostalgia. In the best places to celebrate Christmas, it’s as if someone’s created a winter wonderland just for you, and well, they basically have. However, there are also Christmas escapes, to tropical islands, where the spirit of the season is thriving even though they are teeming with reindeers and sleighs. It’s a little late to be planning a holiday family trip, but there’s no such thing as getting inspired too early for next year!
If you want an old-fashioned storybook holiday, Vienna is one of the best Christmas towns in the world. From the intoxicating smell of gluhwein in the air to twinkling lights adorning the trees and imperial architecture, there’s never a lapse in holiday spirit. Explore three Christkindlmarkts for artisan wares, finger foods, and spiced mulled wine. Then, as evening approaches, you can settle into a pew and listen to the Vienna Boys’ Choir. Do holiday vacations get any better than this?
There’s no end to the Christmas festivals and holiday cheer in this little American town. Wassail Weekend, the town’s pre-Christmas celebration based in Norse tradition, is complete with a 50 horse parade, reindeer sleigh rides, and the wassail feast at Billings Farm & Museum. The colonial downtown shops are decked out in their finest, and if you’re lucky, a dusting of snow transforms the town into true winter wonderland. Add it all up and you have one of the best places to celebrate Christmas in all the Americas.
Believe it or not, Latvia might be the best Christmas town in the world for holiday family trips. The Old Riga Christmas Market is full of children-focused attractions such as a wooden carousel, riding ponies, a horse-drawn carriage, and a petting zoo. For the hungry ones, there are glazed gingerbreads to munch on as you shop for locally made mittens and candlesticks. If you need even more to do, Town Hall Square is full of locals ready to share Latvian traditions like log dragging, stitchcraft, and holiday recipes.
Is it a big surprise that one of the best Christmas towns in the world is a picturesque little spot with just 500 residents? You have to travel by ferry to this traditional little island north of the Michigan peninsula. The magic is indescribable. Townsfolk travel by horse and buggy because motorized vehicles have been ban for the past century. Here, Santa genuinely visits every child to hear their Christmas wishes and the entire town turns out for the yearly bazaar. Truly, Mackinac Island is one the most irresistible of holiday vacations.
The Finns argue Rovaniemi would be a better spot for Santa to set up shop than the North Pole. They already have the workshop built. Children can bake cookies with Mrs. Claus and even enroll in Elf School. If you want an outdoor adventure, try a husky-dog ride or toboggan down one of the pristine snowy mountainsides. For a winter wonderland experience like none other, stay at the Arctic Snow Hotel constructed entirely of ice and snow.
If Christmas lights are your thing, you need to take a holiday vacation to Strasbourg. The streets are lined with red, yellow, and red brilliance. Stroll the town center with tasty prunes, apricots, and other farm-fresh foie gras. The concert hall is booked with Christmas programs from the late November to early January and every store stocks Alsatian wine behind the counter. As one would expect, this French town is a gastronomic holiday paradise.
The Christopher Kane Resort 2020 collection is all about pushing boundaries. This season, the London-based designer unveiled a “Technosexual” collection, which is all about futuristic vibes and science fiction undertones. The line, filled with bold colors, sparkling metallics, and bold slogans, is intended to be a commentary on our collective obsession with digital devices. Of course, it incorporates the designer’s signature chainmail, and mixes hard and light fabrics with contrasting accessories. It also brings hidden fetishes to the forefront, and inspires with its limitless styling opportunities.
“Nothing is taboo and nothing will ever be taboo for Christopher Kane. The whole concept of censorship didn’t work back then, so why should it work now?” the designer said about the season, via WWD. “We’re not humdrum, we need to explore these notions and have a sense of humor. It’s all about provoking a reaction and giving women the tools to feel empowered, because women today should have the power to be sexually aggressive and not be shamed for it.”

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute‘s spring exhibition and Met Gala 2020 theme will be “About Time: Fashion and Duration.” The fashion industry event will take place at the Fifth Avenue New York City museum location on May 4.
This year’s extravagant Met Gala is sponsored by Louis Vuitton, and the co-chairs are Nicolas Ghesquière, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Emma Stone, Meryl Streep, and Anna Wintour.
“It will trace more than a century and a half of fashion, from 1870 to the present, along a disruptive timeline, as part of the Museum’s 150th anniversary celebration,” the Met announced about the upcoming show in a press release.
“Employing philosopher Henri Bergson’s concept of la durée—time that flows, accumulates, and is indivisible—the exhibition will explore how clothes generate temporal associations that conflate the past, present, and future,” according to the release. “The concept will also be examined through the writings of Virginia Woolf, who will serve as the ‘ghost narrator’ of the exhibition. Michael Cunningham, who won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his novel The Hours, which was inspired by Woolf’s Mrs. Dalloway, will write a new short story for the exhibition catalogue that reflects on the concept of duration.”
The exhibit itself, featuring about 160 fashion samples, will be on view to the public from May 7 through September 7, 2020.
“This exhibition will consider the ephemeral nature of fashion, employing flashbacks and fast-forwards to reveal how it can be both linear and cyclical,” said Max Hollein, Director of The Met. “As such, the show will present a nuanced continuum of fashion over the Museum’s 150-year history.”
Andrew Bolton, Wendy Yu Curator in Charge of The Costume Institute, added: “Fashion is indelibly connected to time. It not only reflects and represents the spirit of the times, but it also changes and develops with the times, serving as an especially sensitive and accurate timepiece. Through a series of chronologies, the exhibition will use the concept of duration to analyze the temporal twists and turns of fashion history.”
We’re looking forward to seeing how guests interpret this Met Gala 2020 theme in their red carpet costumery and beyond.

Sisters Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Kourtney Kardashian have all teamed up on the brand new KKW FragranceDiamond collection. Each of the three stars has worked on her own jewel-themed scent for KKW Beauty‘s latest three-piece perfume range, which includes Diamond (Kim), Pink Diamond (Kourtney), and Yellow Diamond (Khloe).
“This is Kim’s world and expertise; she came to us as her sisters and came up with the idea of the Diamond Collection,” Khloe told Allure magazine about the collection’s origins. “We picked the notes to put together our individual scents.”
Diamond is described by the brand as “a fresh white floral bouquet” that is “dripping in diamonds.” It features opening notes of tropical floral leaves, sugar coated ginger, and wild armoise Morocco organic, with a heart of ylang ylang oil cosmors orpur, orange flower absolute orpur, and exotic sampaguita blossom. The scent closes with notes of coconut milk cream, white musk, and solar white floral.
KKW Fragrance calls Pink Diamond “a transparent floral bouquet” that “lights up a room with hues of soft, romantic pink and nuances of sheer sensuality.” The perfume features opening notes of morning dew accord, Italian bergamot, and sparkling pink puff violet accord, with a heart of pink sapphire tuberose, blushing jasmine, and sweet lilac blossoms. The scent finishes with sensual cloud musk, dreamy white moss, and sun drenched driftwood.
Finally, sweet Yellow Diamond is “a sparkling Oriental gourmand,” according to the brand’s website. After opening with rich golden currant berries, this scent develops with notes of yellow jasmine, yellowbird magnolia, and yellow flag iris. It ends with rich white patchouli, soft musk, and whipped vanilla.
The KKW Fragrance Diamond collection will launch on the brand’s website on November 8 at 12 PM EST. Each 30ml bottle is set to sell for $40.
The newly-announced Starbucks Holiday 2019 drink menu is filled with comforting classic coffee favorites – and will be sold in festive reusable cup designs! This season, Starbucks drinkers can expect to sample some Peppermint Mocha, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, the Caramel Brulee Latte, the Chestnut Praline Latte, and the Eggnog Latte, plus the annual Christmas Blend coffee.
Each drink option is topped with a matching flavored treat, like peppermint sprinkles, white chocolate, slivers of caramel, candied chestnuts, and yummy brown sugar.
So, about those cups! Starbucks’ iconic red cup and seasonal holiday art designs have become quite the treat to look forward to each year. For 2019, there will be four different cup designs, called Merry Dance, Merry Stripes, Polka Dots, and Candy Cane Stripes. Each of these playful cups feature a jolly red and green color scheme and bold typography.
“We came up with this idea of wrapping the stores in holiday joy and wrapping the cups like a gift to our partners and customers,” said Jen Quotson, vice president of Starbucks Creative, in a statement. “We wanted coming to Starbucks to be like uncovering a present. We played with this idea of typography being art and the green dot of the Starbucks logo. We just thought that was a very sweet expression of the brand, but still felt very holiday.”
When you bring your red cups back to Starbucks stores from November 7 through January 7 to reuse them, you’ll also get 50 cents off your next grande holiday beverage – which includes these new additions along with hot chocolate varieties, pumpkin spice lattes, and more. This literally is the gift that keeps on giving!
The full Starbucks Holiday 2019 menu will be available at Starbucks locations across the United States and Canada starting on November 7.
