This Lunar New Year will be celebrated on Saturday, January 25, 2020, and Dior will be commemorating the upcoming Year of the Rat by releasing a specialedition Dior Lunar New Year capsule collection. The latest fashion, footwear, and handbag campaign from the designer label is focused on the seasonal color scheme of vibrant red and regal gold.
The collection includes beautiful printed purses – like the Saddle bag, Montaigne, Book Tote, and more – patterned clutches, red-laced sneakers, gauzy skirts and dresses, cozy knit sweaters, and more. Several items in the range feature a stunning floral and red rising phoenix motif, an artistic design that adorns eye-catching garments and accessories alike.
In timing with this fashion and accessories collection, the Dior brand has also released a new makeup tribute to the iconic color red, which designer Christian Dior called “the color of life.” In a spotlight piece for Dior Mag, Creative and Image Director of Dior Makeup, Peter Phillips, re-imagined the passionate shade as “a vivid symbol of desire.”
“A bold expression, red reveals the seductive essence of each woman by adapting to every skin tone and every story,” the brand shared about the iconic Rouge Dior 999 lipstick shade, and the timeless shade’s many makeup applications for blush, nail polish, and beyond.

If you’re looking for the stunning, streamlined wedding dress of your dreams – within your own reasonable budget! – we bet you’ll love the David’s Bridal Clean + Modern capsule collection. Not only is the sophisticated line affordably priced – with all bridal styles pricing in at under $600 – but it features an inclusive size range, from 0 to 30W.
“At David’s Bridal, inclusivity is innate in everything we do,” said Heather McReynolds, divisional merchandise manager for the brand, in a press statement. “As we look to the future, we believe that this collection will allow us to better serve a whole new generation of brides.”
The newly-debuted David’s Bridal Clean + Modern collection lookbook stars 24-year-old South African model and Miss Universe 2017, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. She’s a bride-to-be herself – as her fiancé Tim Tebow proposed in January 2019 – and she looks radiant rocking the chic David’s Bridal options.
“Demi is our dream brand partner,” added Callie Canfield, the brand’s vice president of marketing. “Not only is she hugely accomplished, beautiful and engaged to be married, but she is also one of the loveliest people we have ever met. She absolutely embodies what we stand for as a brand and we’re thrilled to be working with her on this campaign.”
This collection specifically embraces traditional silhouettes, clean lines, and the minimalistic aesthetic – much like Meghan Markle‘s popular Givenchy gown from her own 2018 royal wedding.
“The effortless, clean, and modern designs in this collection provide a blank canvas allowing the bride to lend her own individualistic expression and let her personality shine,” McReynolds shared. Through her styling, she can customize her wedding day look that reflects her ideal self.”

The Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2020 collection made its grand debut in New York City this month. Luxurious embroidery, jewel tones, and fantastic prints define this colorful and undeniably nostalgic collection, which is composed of everything from structured jumpsuits to feminine party frocks and sharp work wear.
For this collection, Oscar de la Renta label designers Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim added in tons of architecturally-inspired details, softened by 70s era wallpaper-inspired prints and rich tapestry patterns – like oversized decorative florals and fancy jacquards.
“It’s about finding the right embroidery technique that will read, but at the same time have the aspirational aspect. It’s about transforming moldings into clothes without looking like a costume,” Garcia said about the collection, via WWD.
The inspiring Pre-Fall 2020 lookbook is full of key pieces that showcase how versatile the collection really is. Throughout the range, you’ll find gowns, party dresses, printed trousers, wide-leg styles, and many more items for every occasion.

The Christian Siriano Pre-Fall 2020 collection is full of gorgeous suit separates, crave-worthy pants, and luxurious longline jackets. They are the kind of pieces you want in your dream work wardrobe, but they are also perfect for wearing out to big parties and even intimate events. With a predominantly muted palette, the line is full of a quieter drama than you may expect from the Christian Siriano label.
“I wanted things that felt almost somewhat utilitarian, even masculine in a way,” the designer said at a collection unveiling, reported by WWD.
We love the unexpected versatility – but we’re definitely not surprised at how flawlessly Siriano delivers it. Despite the neutral colors and office-ready silhouettes in beige, black, and cream, there is no shortage of fine detail and thrilling flair throughout.
This season, we also have total heart eyes over the designer’s opulent tulle gowns and elegant evening wear. It’s where the collection diverts from masculine edge to feminine frills. Beautiful blush tones and sexy sheer paneling make these dresses a sure fit for bringing your ultimate Barbie girl dreams to life, while finely-crafted structured bodices and sophisticated layered peplums elevated the chic-factor in each look.

Sometimes holiday dressing can be all about opulence and glamour. That over-the-top and extravagant feeling we get around New Year’s celebrations is what the Chanel Holiday 2019 makeup collection is bringing to the forefront this fall and winter.
“Gabrielle Chanel adored the splendor and excess of baroque style,” the brand shared on its website. “For the holiday makeup collection, Lucia Pica draws inspiration from this aesthetic. She dreams up festive, bold, brilliant and sophisticated makeup that, like a jewel, reveals a radiant-looking complexion and enhances your allure.”
The festive range, titled “Les Ornenments de Chanel,” is composed of six new eyeshadow shades (in either a coordinating quad called Lumière et Opulence or as two singles, Grandeur and Pourpre Brun), six new lipstick colors, a peach-toned illuminating powder highlighter, a waterproof eyeliner pen, two shiny Rouge Coco lip glosses, and two Le Vernis nail polish colors (Deepness and Richness).
“The balance between grandeur and modernity is epitomized by the six Rouge Allure lip colors that stand at the heart of the collection,” Pica said, via the Chanel website.
The complete Chanel Holiday 2019 collection will launch in stores on November 1, with select pieces now available to shop online.
