Sometimes holiday dressing can be all about opulence and glamour. That over-the-top and extravagant feeling we get around New Year’s celebrations is what the Chanel Holiday 2019 makeup collection is bringing to the forefront this fall and winter.
“Gabrielle Chanel adored the splendor and excess of baroque style,” the brand shared on its website. “For the holiday makeup collection, Lucia Pica draws inspiration from this aesthetic. She dreams up festive, bold, brilliant and sophisticated makeup that, like a jewel, reveals a radiant-looking complexion and enhances your allure.”
The festive range, titled “Les Ornenments de Chanel,” is composed of six new eyeshadow shades (in either a coordinating quad called Lumière et Opulence or as two singles, Grandeur and Pourpre Brun), six new lipstick colors, a peach-toned illuminating powder highlighter, a waterproof eyeliner pen, two shiny Rouge Coco lip glosses, and two Le Vernis nail polish colors (Deepness and Richness).
“The balance between grandeur and modernity is epitomized by the six Rouge Allure lip colors that stand at the heart of the collection,” Pica said, via the Chanel website.
The complete Chanel Holiday 2019 collection will launch in stores on November 1, with select pieces now available to shop online.
