Françoise Lehmann, the international president of L’Oréal-owned brand Lancôme, said that the 22-year-old starlet will bring a fresh and young perspective to the iconic label.
“Zendaya brings a youthful and a unique approach to beauty that perfectly complements Lancôme’s vision and creativity,” Lehmann said in an announcement statement.
Zendaya is thrilled to be part of this makeup family, and feels that the move is part of a new chapter in her life.
“It’s a huge honor to be able to represent a brand like Lancôme and join such an incredible line-up of iconic women,” the actress said in a press statement.
Now that she’s partnering with the legacy beauty brand, she joins the likes of all-star brand ambassadors like Julia Roberts, Kate Winslet, Taylor Hill, Isabella Rossellini, Lily Collins, Penelope Cruz, Lupita Nyong’o and more.

“Obviously, I love makeup. I love that world,” she added. “Some people who are in my profession, they don’t love it, but I really enjoy it because I always found makeup to be very therapeutic. I’ve used [Lancôme’s] products for so long and it’s always been one of those staple brands of class and elegance, so it just felt like the right step.”

YouTuber Emily Noel Collaborates on The Emily Edit for Makeup Revolution
Makeup vlogger Emily Noel (emilynoel83) has been creating beauty videos for YouTube for over ten years, and she is still hitting impressive milestones. The beauty guru has revealed her first-ever makeup collaboration with Makeup Revolution called The Emily Edit. This collection is made up of two products: The Needs face palette ($15) and The Wants eyeshadow palette ($20).
“My palettes are for my entire audience on YouTube,” Emily shared via the brand’s Instagram. “I wanted it to be something that every age, every background, every makeup using preference could pick up and feel like ‘yes, I’ve got my look in here.’”
In timing with her Makeup Revolution collaboration release, Emily created a personal video talking about her decade of sharing her life with subscribers, staying true to her convictions – and turning down sponsorships and previous requests to collaborate on product she didn’t feel passionate about.
Emily explained that the idea for “The Edit” came from her news broadcasting days, where she was tasked with editing down news stories to the most essential “kernels of information” that her viewers would need to know. Similarly, her palettes edited out those unusable or overlapping shades that usually fluff up eyeshadow sets, leaving us all with the greatest hits and essentials inspired by her all-time favorites from the Makeup Revolution brand’s offerings.
“The Needs is like the greatest hits of the brand,” Emily shared. “I’ve not seen Revolution do anything like this before and I thought it was something that was really called for. They’ve created so many great palettes, so let’s make the greatest hits from them all. This is what this is, in full face style.”
Of course, if the whole reason you shop for palettes is to experiment with new colors you may otherwise skip over, then The Wants is perfect for you.
“I wanted this palette to inspire but could also allow you to stay in your comfort zone,” Emily shared about The Wants collection. “I wanted the perfect balance of light, medium and really rich dark shades. I want the colors to be buildable, so you can reach that level of intensity that you want. You can create countless looks and endless creativity.”
Most of the creative shade names reference the real needs and wants we have in our own lives, like courage, joy, love, kindness, and gratitude. We love the incredible journey Emily has been on to get to this place in her career – and we think she totally nailed it with this debut!
You can shop both pieces from The Emily Edit on revolutionbeauty.com or at Ulta now.

6 Tips to Getting Long, Luscious Hair Like Carli Bybel’s
With all the mermaid hair trends out there, and celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and many more rocking their waist-length long wigs, we can’t help but be obsessed with long hair that luscious. And we can’t all afford to invest in these popular and realistic wigs. But just a few lifestyle changes precautions can steer you in the right direction of growing out your long hair naturally like one of our favorite beauty influencers, Carli Bybel.
Below are a few tips for growing out luxe long hair so that you can live out your dreams of having the mermaid length tresses you’ve always wanted. Just remember that change won’t happen over night and like everything else in life, it takes time and lots of dedication.
1. Take a look at your diet.
In order for your body to be healthy on the outside. It needs to also be healthy on the inside. So keep in mind of all the junk you put in your body that may be contributing to your lack of hair growth. Drink a lot of water to keep your body hydrated, skin clear, and your hair nourished. Plants won’t grow without water, and neither will your hair. Protein-based foods, fruits and vegetables have natural antioxidants, oils, and vitamins that your body needs to keep everything functioning and that feeds your hair the nutrients it needs. So make sure you’re taking care of yourself from the inside out.
2. Get frequent hair trims.
You may feel hesitant in trimming your hair while trying to grow it out – especially when your version of a trim is far off from the hairstylist’s definition of a trim. But it must be done. The more frequently you cut your hair, the less chances you have a of having split ends work their way up the hair shaft. Meaning you’ll be cutting less over time, keeping your long hair healthy enough for it to keep growing.
3. Avoid excess heat styling.
Removing heat altogether is really the best option for growing out your long hair. For some of us, that seems to be impossible. But a good tip for eliminating some damaging and time-wasting heat styling is to wash hair around the evening time. Put your hair in two braids or two buns to reduce frizz and to let it air dry. In the morning, you’ll be left with soft, shiny, and wavy hair. If you wish to pass quick passes with the flat iron you may do so just remember not to go over 350 degrees. A good rule of thumb is you burn cookies when baking at over 350, so don’t do it to your hair! Take smaller sections reduce the amount of heat you put on it and then blast some cold hair on it to lock it in.
4. Don’t over wash your hair.
Washing your hair too often strips the natural oils your scalp produces in keeping your hair healthy. Over time, your scalp actually starts producing more oil because shampoo tricks your scalp into thinking you’re washing it all away. When you do wash, make sure to use a good conditioner on your ends. The ends of your hair are technically dead hair because they are no longer attached to the root of scalp. That means your tips don’t receive the oils that your roots do. So you want to make sure that your ends are being nurtured as well. A leave-in conditioner is a great option when putting your hair in a bun or braids because your hair locks in the conditioner making it smoother and shinier to style in the morning.
5. Consider getting a keratin treatment.
This option can be quite pricey depending on your area, but it is recommended if you have naturally frizzy hair. Sometimes you need to ask yourself why you’re using all these hair tools in the first place, and what you can do to reduce it. So if one of your problems is defaulting to a straightener to get rid of frizz, then you can eliminate the use of that tool by getting a keratin treatment: which consists of a protein thats bonded to the outer layer of the hair that helps smooth, protect, and relax the hair. There are many types of strength for keratin – which can range from mild to high –depending on whether you want to keep your texture the same and just smooth it out, or completely change your texture to straight hair. This method last 3 months to 6 months but can dramatically cut down the use of any other heat tools giving your hair the opportunity to grow and be nourished.
6. Consider using hair-boosting supplements.
Sometimes your hair needs a little boost even after doing all of the tips from above. Maybe through stress, poor diet, or health issues you may be losing or thinning your hair. Just like your body needs proper vitamins, so does your hair. Try products like Cydney Mar’s Wellness hair, skin, and nails supplement. She worked with Naturopathic doctors to formulate a product line of all natural supplements to help give you long shiny hair. The ingredients use help the body metabolize carbohydrates, fats, and proteins to help in tissue formation that stimulate hair growth and a healthy body. In just two short months you can see drastic changes in volume and length.

Vetements x Tommy Hilfiger Are Making Prep School Casual Cool Again
What comes to your mind when you try and imagine what a Vetements x Tommy Hilfiger collaboration will look like? Preppy sportswear with a twinge more functionality than Hilfiger’s typical Ivy League outfits? Unisex luxe streetwear with a little high-brow collegiate style mixed in? It’s quite a conundrum when you think about it, not because the legacy of one overshadows the other, but due to their vastly different reputations, these brands have. Hilfiger, a heavy-hitter in prep school attire, luxe menswear, and women’s clothing since the mid-80s, is an everyday luxury clothing company. Vetements, on the other hand, is founded on a philosophy that seems to stand in direct opposition to the very idea of preppy attire and everyday luxury. Only time can tell what truly comes from this highly-anticipated partnership, but we don’t want to wait. Here are the vague clues Vetements x Tommy Hilfiger have dropped so far.
HILFIGER TAKES THE LEAD
The first teaser image from Vetements x Tommy Hilfiger made one thing very clear. Hilfiger is taking the lead when it comes to logo design. Though this red sweatshirt features Vetements name in prominent letters, both the font and color scheme are classic Tommy fare. Does this mean the brands will favor luxe streetwear rather than simpler “wearable” clothing? Surprisingly, judging by the sweater, the duo plan to focus on athleisure style rather than preppy haute couture.
THE PREPPTY PRINTED SWEATSHIRT
It’s never been acceptable to wear khakis and chukkas with an oversized hoodie, but it could be very soon. This crossover look was Vetements’s answer to Tommy Hilfiger’s original Instagram post announcing the two brands’ joint collection. Khakis and sweatshirts conjure up imagines of comfortable college days when you could get away with lackadaisical attempts to look ‘presentable.’ Maybe this epitomizes how Hilfiger prep and Vetements practicality will end up blending together.
BEYOND THE SWEATSHIRT
Don’t let the commonplace reputation of the sweatshirt trick you into thinking the Vetements x Tommy Hilfiger will only dabble in safe clothes that easily bridge the gap between their companies. Neither designer is known for sticking to the beaten path, and Vetements founder Demna Gvasalia made his fame and fortune thinking outside the box. We don’t know who exactly draped this duster across the model’s shoulders, but we’re excited about what it might signify.
There’s are many more hints in this image posted by Vetements a few days ago, but it seems significant that these models are pretty dressed down. The balance of unisex clothing and preppy haute couture strikes again with oversized hoodies featuring the prestigious Tommy Hilfiger name. We’re sensing a trend here. If reports about the other items featured in this collection are true, your 2018 summer will be littered with Vetements x Tommy Hilfiger t-shirts, beanies, socks, and more. Exciting times ahead indeed.
The partnership between Vetements and Tommy Hilfiger is unexpected but seems to be headed for unconventional greatness. If our guesses are near the mark, it looks like athleisure really is winning its bid to infiltrate and simplify formalwear in a lasting way. With this collaboration leading the charge, a refreshing influx of super comfy brand name clothes can’t be too far behind.
