The Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2020 collection made its grand debut in New York City this month. Luxurious embroidery, jewel tones, and fantastic prints define this colorful and undeniably nostalgic collection, which is composed of everything from structured jumpsuits to feminine party frocks and sharp work wear.
For this collection, Oscar de la Renta label designers Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim added in tons of architecturally-inspired details, softened by 70s era wallpaper-inspired prints and rich tapestry patterns – like oversized decorative florals and fancy jacquards.
“It’s about finding the right embroidery technique that will read, but at the same time have the aspirational aspect. It’s about transforming moldings into clothes without looking like a costume,” Garcia said about the collection, via WWD.
The inspiring Pre-Fall 2020 lookbook is full of key pieces that showcase how versatile the collection really is. Throughout the range, you’ll find gowns, party dresses, printed trousers, wide-leg styles, and many more items for every occasion.
