H&M Erdem: First Look At Affordable Designer Collaboration

Catch Your First Look at the H&M x Erdem Designer Collaboration
The countdown to H&M x Erdem has begun! The style-savvy, fast fashion brand’s latest designer collaboration with Canadian and Turkish artist Erdem Moralioglu, will officially be released on November 2. However, your very first look at the stunning and whimsical womenswear, menswear, and accessories you can expect to see has already been revealed.
For women, Erdem’s H&M collection combines all the feminine frills of lace and fall florals with menswear-inspired suits, and bold, romantic patterns that will warm up your winter wardrobe. Men can expect to shop cozy and dapper knits and coats with a vintage-inspired flair. The best part is, like all of H&M’s past collaborations, the items are all incredibly well designed and affordable.
“So much of the collection was actually quite personal and I found myself reflecting on how we dressed throughout high school,” designer Erdem has said about the collection.
“[The line] is also inspired by much of my youth, from the English films, ’90s TV shows, and music videos I grew up watching, to memories of the style that defined members of my family,” he added. “Taking from these inspirations, I imagined a group of characters and friends off to the English countryside for the weekend. There’s a real play in the collection between something decidedly dressed-up and equally effortless.”
The designer views the specific H&M x Erdem collection as a retrospective look back at his 12-year career so far, which adds to the timeless feel of the garments. “I’m fascinated with things that you can’t tell if they’re 50 years old or 100 years old or completely new,” Erdem shared about these pieces. “It’s so interesting to create pieces that look timeless, even if they’re created digitally and are totally new.”
H&M’s Erdem collection will likely sell out quicker than you can recall your own grade school days or fondest childhood memories, so make sure to set your alarms and schedule out your online/in-store shopping plan wisely!
