Adeline Ziliox Launches “Crystal Skin” Spring 2019 Collection at Paris Fashion Week
The Adeline Ziliox Spring 2019 collection made its debut at Paris Fashion Week in France this week, and it is certainly a memorable capsule. The brand is known for its intricate graphic designs in luxurious high-end and couture creations – and this season is no exception.
The tagline for this particular SS19 collection is, “What is Inside, See it Outside.” Essentially, the line wants to capture women’s inner beauty and fierceness – and make those celebrated qualities the direct inspiration for a futuristic-themed season of high-fashion outer garments.
“Where the clothing conceals the body of the woman, with its ‘Crystal Skin‘ Collection, Adeline Ziliox decides to reveal it,” the brand shared about the collection in a press statement. “Transparency assumed, body unveiled and femininity affirmed, here is the DNA of the Collection. The technical materials, which are often found in the work of the designer, like neoprene, 3D mesh fabrics reinforce this line ultra-feminine, elegant and with streetwear inspirations. The PVC masterpieces confirm the contemporary and avant-garde look of this Spring/Summer 2019 collection.”
With transparency at the forefront of the collection’s design inspiration, it comes as no surprise that literally see-through fabrics, PVC detailing, and creative cut-outs were on full display in jackets, dresses, statement skirts, and beyond. We particularly love the accessories: because items like clear bags and chic utilitarian rain gear are part of an emerging trend we’re all about.
Many of the label’s newest pieces’ exaggerated silhouettes mimicked the strong armor of our skeletal structures, and took them to the extremes through widened shoulders and ribcage-like bodices. Beauty from the inside, brought out for all to appreciate.
