Selena Gomez Designs Her First Sneaker for Puma Collaboration
Selena Gomez has been slaying her partnership with Puma ever since she was named as the celebrity face of the athletic brand back in 2017. But now, the singer and actress has actually taken her collaboration one step further. Selena has designed her own version of the Phenom Lux shoe design that she has been modeling since she first began her campaigns.

Selena’s design features a crisp white leather upper with mesh side cut-outs and gold detailing. The high-top’s ankle also features a removable gold chain anklet that takes this look to the next level. In her debut photo shoot images, Selena also rocks fierce white cage-style socks. These accessories will also be sold with the shoe release, so you can style your own pair of kicks just like the star.
“I’ve been wearing some fun socks with my sneakers, and it just makes me feel a little bit more feminine,” Selena told Vogue. “I spent a lot of time creating a sock that felt comfortable, chic, and fun. [The shoes have] that chain that makes me feel womanly and makes me feel cool. It gives you a little bit of sparkle, and it can make you feel like you’re dressed up even when you’re in sweats.”

But the best part is that proceeds from sales of both the Selena Gomez Puma design sneakers and the socks will be donated back to the Lupus Research Alliance, a cause close to her heart.
“It’s been really fun to work so closely with PUMA on the design of this shoe,” Selena shared in a statement. “I’m also proud to partner with them in helping to affect lives and bring attention to a cause that is very important to me personally.”
To support this partnership, Puma has reportedly pledged $100,000 to a nonprofit dedicated to research for Lupus. Selena herself has been publicly battling the autoimmune disorder since 2013, recently undergoing a kidney transplant surgery due to complications.
The Selena Gomez Puma design will be available to shop in extremely limited editions starting on April 6.
