NCLA Collaborates with Mattel On Barbie-Themed Makeup Collection
For nearly 60 years, Barbie dolls, collectible accessories, and elaborate Dream Houses have been on holiday gift wish lists all over the world. But this year, there’s a new retro-inspired line of beauty treats for those fashionistas among us filled with nostalgia for our childhood favorites. That’s right: makeup and nail polish brand NCLA Beauty has teamed up with Mattel to debut an entire range of Barbie-themed beauty products – and each of the products has a distinctly 1990s style flair.
This “collection is everything you’ve ever dreamed of!” the brand shared on its website. “Nostalgic of the 90’s, this collection pays ode to your favorite icon. From the prints, to the packaging, to the names, this collection will have you feeling totally Barbie!”
The NCLA Barbie is composed of four nail polishes called Barbie Party, Barbie Dreamhouse, Pastel Dreams, and Barbie Pink ($16 each); the So Rich Bubblegum Pop cuticle oil ($18); two jelly balms in Barbie Dream and Barbie Convertible ($16 each); two lipsticks in shades Ballerina Barbie and Barbie Beach Cruiser ($16 each); four nail wrap kits in the sets Tropical Dream, Barbie Bold, Made in the 90’s, and Totally Hair! ($12 each). Every product from NCLA is vegan and cruelty-free.
Of course, there’s plenty of hot pink and pastel purples – plus a little touch of sparkle – to make up this fun range. If you’re obsessed with everything you see, the entire NCLA Barbie collaboration can be shopped as a collector’s box edition ($128).
