McDonald’s Is Introducing International Menu Items for the Summer
Have you ever dreamed about taking a food tour around the world? Naturally, we would all probably like to journey to destinations like Italy, Thailand, Portugal, and more countries known for their delicious food cultures. But we never imagined we’d find little tastes of global top sellers at fast food restaurant chains in the United States! The upcoming McDonald’s international menu of “Worldwide Favorites” is set to bring four items from its locations abroad to U.S. stores this summer.
Four countries will be represented through this summertime launch: Canada, The Netherlands, Spain, and Australia. Below, we’re breaking down what you can expect to snack on!
The McDonald’s Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich from Canada

McDonald’s said that this fan-favorite is “made with a grilled or crispy all white meat, juicy and tender chicken [and] is topped with tomato & herb sauce, creamy mozzarella cheese, slivered onions, fresh lettuce and sliced Roma tomatoes served on a freshly toasted artisan roll.” Sounds delightful!
McDonald’s Cheesy Bacon Fries from Australia

Did you love McDonald’s bacon and cheese fry toppings when the chain gave them a U.S. test run? Luckily, you’ll be able to savor the gooey goodness again soon.
“After such a positive customer reaction to Australia’s Cheesy Bacon Fries in the U.S., they’re taking a victory lap,” the brand announced on its corporate news site. “Don’t miss our World Famous Fries topped with real cheddar cheese sauce and chopped Applewood Smoked bacon.”
Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger from Spain

Grand AND extreme? This Spanish favorite sounds action-packed. According to the brand, it’s made with “a quarter pound of 100 percent fresh beef topped with thick cut Applewood smoked bacon, smoky McBacon Sauce, real Gouda cheese and slivered onions served on a freshly toasted sesame seed bun.”
McDonald’s Stroopwafel McFluffy from The Netherlands

After all your indulgences, you’ll really want to try out a sweet treat for a dessert, and that’s where this Dutch favorite comes in. “Our creamy vanilla soft serve, mixed with a rich caramel swirl, featuring authentic chopped Dutch Daelmans Stroopwafel caramel waffle cookie pieces. Cookies and soft serve? Yes please,” the brand said about the launch.
