H&M Collaborates with South African Fashion Label Mantsho
We always love an affordably-priced designer collaboration, especially when the stylish team-up introduces us to an incredible new brand. Which is why we’re particularly thrilled that H&M has announced its summer design collaboration with the South African fashion label, Mantsho and released its style-inspiring lookbook. The collection consists of gorgeous African-inspired prints on breezy maxi dresses, stylish skirts, crisp tops, and more. Even better, the range comes complete with an accessories line that includes shoes, earrings, and clutches.
“This is my love letter to the world from Africa,” Mantsho’s head of design, Palesa Mokubung, said in a statement. “I hope customers around the world will enjoy this ensemble of my stand-out pieces from my last three collections. This collaboration is a dream come true and I’m so excited to work with H&M. I cannot wait to share my passion and design with fashion lovers around the world. Mantsho prides itself as a ready-to-wear brand and this exclusive collection fulfills this promise.”
The H&M x Mantsho collection arrives online and in select U.S. stores on August 15.
Mantsho, established back in 2004, has previously shown looks on runways in South Africa, Greece, India, Jamaica, Nigeria, Senegal, Botswana, and the United States. H&M is looking forward to showcasing the Mantsho brand on a global scale – and knows many different shoppers will find something special to love out of the colorful and energetic selection.
“Palesa’s creativity with color, print and silhouettes is inspiring as she celebrates the female form through her designs which complement the female shape in a flattering and playful way,” Pernilla Wohlfahrt, assortment manager for collaborations and special collections for H&M said in a press release.
