Dolce & Gabbana Debuts New Fragrance, Velvet Incenso
Dolce & Gabbana has just revealed the latest fragrance to join the daring and memory-inspired “Velvet” family: Velvet Incenso. Perfect for men and women, the designer brand describes the distinctly Italian woody Oriental fragrance as “a dark, mysterious veil fluttering over honey-hued stones in the Mediterranean light.”
This perfume re-invents come of the most timeless and historical scents around – like smoky and aromatic incense – bringing it right into 2018. “Blending notes of Oriental perfumery with the finest Italian ingredients, the fragrance offers a modern interpretation of the most ancient and mystical ingredient of perfumery: incense, into a glittering mosaic of sizzling resins,” Dolce & Gabbana shared on its website.
“We have put our memories and our roots into the velvet fragrance collection, which have the same vibrant, Hedonistic heart as Sicily and Italy. With each one, we invite you into our world,” D&G designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana shared in a statement.

This fragrance swirls together a memorable and captivating blend of scents. “Vibrant incense essence is set alight by a spark of black pepper essence. With its citrus and pepper facets, elemi essence echoes these opening notes, its resinous burn introducing the darker heart of the fragrance,” the brand explained. “The Orient and the Mediterranean worlds meet as incense resinoid, intense with balsamic hints, blends with cistus absolute, an ambery resin drawn from typical trees of Sicilian hillsides. Benzoin resinoid adds its cinnamon and vanilla sweetness. Smooth patchouli essence and powerful amber wood extend the magical trail of Velvet Incenso deep into the night.”
You can now shop the fragrance at fine retailers like Nordstrom for $310 (50ml) -$495 (150ml) a bottle.
