Get Inspired By the Diane von Furstenberg Resort 2019 Collection Lookbook
There is something for everyone to love in the DVF brand. The famously ultra-wearable silhouettes. Retro-inspired details filled with nostalgia. Or the fabulously printed fabrics that turn any ensemble into an instant work of art. The Diane von Furstenberg Resort 2019 collection is no exception: this season’s new crop of garments are the mood-boosting and versatile pieces you want hanging in your wardrobe.
“This brand has to be the brand that is the friend in your closet. That friend you never want to give up,” Diane von Furstenberg shared with WWD.
For this collection, the DVF brand’s new Creative Director Nathan Jenden is making his mark, and letting us know the direction he is headed in terms of making the brand’s iconic legacy timely and fresh.
“The whole collection is basically taking these little dresses that are constructed, but you can roll in a ball and stick in a handbag,” he shared with the publication. “What’s modern is to look dressed up, but not feel dressed up.”
That breezy, effortless vibe is apparent through the brand’s latest season lookbook, which celebrates color and pattern through gorgeous maxi dresses, lounge-ready separates, and statement-making details. It’s a little bit tropical, and just dressy enough to work for a variety of occasions you may have on your calendar. Vibrantly hued fabrics and shimmering sequins make up the most crave-worthy features of this collection.
We particularly love the way the latest Resort lookbook lets us imagine these pieces as workwear, party looks, poolside loungewear, and the must-pack vacation essentials we dream of wearing on our next worldly getaway.
