Get Inspired by the Christopher Kane Pre-Fall 2018 Collection Lookbook
The Christopher Kane Pre-Fall 2018 collection is so stunning and visually captivating, every single piece belongs in a museum. Which is why it is extra appropriate that the Scottish-born, London-based designer shot his latest lookbook at the United Kingdom’s Potteries Museum & Art Gallery in Stoke-on-Trent. It’s the perfect backdrop for a collection that will really go down in history.
Amidst the vintage paintings, natural history displays, and historical collections, the season’s electric neons, sparkling accessories, and studded shoes sparkle. The pieces’ opulence is magnified by the dark and whimsical setting – but over-the-top creative styling makes for eye-catching ensembles.
“It’s all the things I love – diamonds, neon, feathers. I OD’d on diamonds – but I couldn’t help it,” the designer told WWD about the makings of the Pre-Fall 2018 looks.
We love the way dressy garments and street style-approved pieces are juxtaposed throughout this lookbook. Oversized tees are styled with dripping diamond earrings, elbow-length gloves, and glamorous skirts. Cozy cardigans are draped over feather-trimmed gowns. And black leather pants add some rocker edge to colorful, floral print blouses.
As part of this collection, Christopher Kane also featured graphic works inspired by classic horror movies. (If you have been following our style coverage, you know that The Kooples recently showed some Freddy Krueger menswear garments during Paris Fashion Week. We wonder if this is the start of a very cool trend!)
