Balmain Reveals Exclusive Summer Capsule Collection for Net-a-Porter
This summer, we dream of donning sleek swimsuits with strappy sandals, and sitting out by the waterfront. The upcoming Balmain Net-a-Porter collection is going to help make that a reality. Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing created an exclusive summer resort-ready capsule collection for the online designer retailer, and the campaign imagery makes us feel like we are on a private yacht cruise of the French Riviera.
“Prepare to make a glamorous getaway as the Parisian fashion house’s signatures are given a fresh spin for summer, inspired by nautical style – expect a jet-set closet destined for the most dazzling of destinations,” Net-a-Porter announced on its website, previewing the luxurious jackets, striped separates, and nautical-inspired accessories. We are ready for this getaway.
This capsule collection represents a powerful coming-together of fashion empires.
“Balmain has such a strong legacy and brand DNA, and I love that Olivier has interpreted this solely for the Net-a-Porter customer,” Elizabeth von der Goltz, the Global Buying Director for Net-a-Porter, said about the collaboration in a statement. “The collection makes the perfect summer capsule wardrobe covering everything from your off duty look to full-on evening glamour. Their iconic jacket in white with gold detailing is my personal favorite.”
We happen to be partial to the line’s unbelievably sparkly sequined tank top, the navy and white striped handbag with opulent gold detailing, and the collection’s sailor-approved button accents, which are featured on tees, trousers, and jackets alike.
