Adidas Launches a Yoga Collection Made from Salvaged and Recycled Ocean Plastic
If you care deeply about the environment and ongoing sustainability efforts in the fashion industry, then the brand new Adidas Yoga collection is going to be right up your alley. The popular sportswear brand has partnered with mission-driven festival organization Wanderlust to create a line of sustainable workout garments that are crafted from recycled plastic salvaged from our oceans.
Adidas has pledged its commitment to working on eliminating plastic pollution by teaming up with Parley for the Oceans, a cause bringing creators together to innovate new ways to combat the threats affecting the planet’s waterways. Enter: the brand’s most sustainable, up-cycled clothing range ever.
“We know our community of women are extremely passionate about environmental care,” Alison Stewart, Adidas Women’s senior director, shared in a press release. “Now, in our product they can make a difference to their practice and the planet at the same time.”
This collection is composed of colorful leggings, sporty tank tops, stylish gym bags, flexible sneakers, cute sports bras, and more yoga essentials that will make your gym wardrobe brighter. The designs are all inspired by vintage surf apparel – and the power of the ocean. Perhaps the best part is that there are no synthetic materials in these garments, and each piece is fully recyclable itself.
You can now shop these pieces on Wanderlust’s e-store, with prices ranging from $35 for tanks and tees to $75 yoga tights and $120 bodysuits.
