Kate Moss and Kaia Gerber Star In Stella McCartney’s Eco-Conscious Spring 2019 Campaign
What do you get when you mix a fashion modeling legend and one of the hottest emerging stars in the industry today? A fabulous new photo series with an inspiring message behind it. Star models Kate Moss and Kaia Gerber co-star in the newly-debuted Stella McCartney Spring 2019 campaign imagery, which was photographed by Johnny Dufort.
Since 2001, the Stella McCartney brand is known for its commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices. According to Fashionista, the circle-shaped images that make up this striking campaign are a reference to McCartney’s move towards “a more circular economy,” and environmentally-sound business and design decisions. The round shapes certainly stand out and catch our attention – and the story behind the symbolism is even more interesting.

“I have a true connection with these women,” the designer told Vogue UK. “For this season, I wanted to capture the wonder of women: the circle of life and the love of learning from those that inspire and came before us and are in the now. We represent women of any age.”

As of this runway season, around 60 percent of the brand’s offerings are reportedly made from sustainable materials. The designer only hopes to expand her sustainability practice, and is already on track. In the new Spring 2019 campaign imagery, you will see Kaia sporting organic tie-dyed denim garments, while Kate wears a colorful lurex dress crafted from sustainable viscose and organic cotton.
