The Prada Spring/Summer 2018 Gets Animated In This Cool Video Campaign
The Prada Spring/Summer 2018 collection is all about bringing the artistic and bold pop aesthetic of graphic novels and comic books to life. In the newest “Real Life Comix” womenswear campaign, featuring illustrations by Stellar Leuna and animation by Traum Inc., the season’s edgy sunglasses, crisp coats, and colorful spring dresses are re-imagined in captivating inky black and white.
The brand’s latest series of advertorial films by Willy Vanderperre are an exploration of how our personal style choices influence our days’ events.
“Set in the surreal comic world of Prada SS18, the journeys of three daring women are revealed in a story promoting female strength and unity,” the brand shared on its website. “The presence of a mystical panther, embodying their fearlessness and will, helps the women to realize their inner powers.”

If you love the way this graphic-heavy campaign turned out, you’ll be similarly impressed by the way artist Ethan James Green recently re-interpreted the comics collection. The director created a special film project around this inspiring collection and took it in an entirely different direction. In his campaign footage, you can see these vibrant garments set against a stark, dirt ground landscape for an entirely new visual effect.
What we’re seeing is that the possibilities are endless with Prada’s new collection.
