Dior Homme Debuts “Come As You Are” Campaign for Summer 2018
Dior Homme‘s newest Summer 2018 menswear campaign, “Come As You Are,” is all about a play on suits. Models Elias de Poot and Jonas Glöer are showcased in this stunning editorial feature for DiorMag, which combines elements of street style with sophisticated and luxurious formalwear.
“Double-breasted or two-button, in solids or featuring signature ‘Christian Dior atelier’ all-over prints, the Dior Homme suits for Summer 2018, designed by Kris Van Assche, are revealed here in these black and white images,” the brand announced on its official DiorMag website, revealing the first look at these photos by Patrick Demarchelier.
“In these black suits, sometimes simply worn over bare skin, one recognizes all the know-how of the Dior Homme Tailoring Studio,” according to the editorial. “It’s a know-how that artistic director Kris Van Assche explores and highlights throughout the Summer 2018 season.”
These designs are actually some of the final pieces created during Kris Van Assche’s time at Dior Homme. The designer served as creative director of the brand for 11 years, before announcing his next move to Berluti in March 2018. He will be succeeded in the role by Kim Jones, who has worked as men’s artistic director of Louis Vuitton. We can expect Kim Jones menswear designs to be hitting Dior runways in June, at Paris Men’s Fashion Week. It’s definitely a time of industry shake-ups, and we are looking forward to seeing how they play out.
