ColourPop Is Getting a Skincare Sister Brand Called Fourth Ray Beauty
There are easily a million reasons why we love the ColourPop Cosmetics brand: the popular label carries plenty of makeup options in trending formulas and hues, at ridiculously affordable prices. What’s not to get behind? Which is why we are over the moon excited that the brand’s parent company, Seed Beauty, has announced an upcoming skincare sister brand called Fourth Ray Beauty.
On its website, the brand describes itself as “clean, wellness-inspired skincare created for the beauty enthusiast.” All of the products – which include cleansers, tonic, acne-fighting spot treatments, moisturizers, and more – will be dermatologist tested, safe for all skin types, 100% cruelty-free and vegan, gluten-free, and paraben-free.
“Fourth Ray started from a personal place of trying to find clean products that are 100 percent cruelty free, vegan, and creating something effective while not overly sensitizing,” co-founder Laura Nelson said in a statement. “What I love most, though, is that this brand is wellness-inspired, speaking to self-care and the ritual of taking care of your whole being, not just your skin.”
“We saw a wide space for opportunity to play in the luxury skin-care realm,” Heather Gottlieb, the director of product development, added via Refinery29. “Really our top priority was to develop clean but effective skin care, focusing on performance ingredients as well as an ingredient list that you don’t have to be a chemist to understand.”
Skin-saving ingredients like witch hazel, jojoba oil, juniper berry, ginseng, Vitamin C, and more are packed into the products to deliver lasting results. Plus, we’re excited to share that the price tag has ColourPop’s famed affordability, with almost all products coming in at under $15 apiece. Only two products – the Come Clean Cleanser Duo ($22) and Rose Quartz Roller ($18) – bump up the price tag a little higher.
The brand is also set to launch as an already well-rounded label that also includes accessories and tools, like the headbands, scrunchies, and cleansing cloths that are part of our daily pampering routines.
Luckily, we don’t have to wait too long to meet Fourth Ray Beauty and try it out for yourself. The new label is set to launch online on August 23.
