See How Your Favorite Luxury Chanel Bags Are Actually Made
Every handbag tells a story. Accessories not only share the wearer’s own personal style philosophy, but the way those very pieces are crafted says a lot about the manufacturing brand. A new “Chanel Handbag Series” video makes the process more transparent. It showcases how the brand’s best-selling bags – like the Classic, Gabrielle, and Boy Bag – are actually made. Simply put, it takes a lot of work, and careful attention to details from skilled artisans.
“A myriad of operations goes into the making of a CHANEL handbag, relying on a variety of know-how and technical skills,” the brand shared on social media. “As Gabrielle Chanel declared, ‘Elegance is being equally beautiful inside and outside,’ a principle associated with CHANEL’s handcraft.”
The Chanel Gabrielle handbag is a particularly popular new style. Named after the brand’s founder Coco Chanel (real name, Garbrielle Bonheur Chanel), it was first debuted on the market in 2017. Already over a few seasons, stars like Kristen Stewart, Cara Delevingne, Pharrell Williams, Liu Wen, Willow Smith, and many more have participated in buzzworthy campaigns for the must-have accessory. Then, there’s the Chanel Boy Bag, another instantly-popular carryall first launched in 2011 and has been spotted on some of Hollywood’s hottest influencers and fashionistas, like Kylie Jenner, Ashley Graham, Kim Kardashian, Karlie Kloss, Hilary Duff, and countless more.
Of course, the Classic bag has been around for generations. While the style originated in the 1950s, each season’s updates have brought the timeless purse into the modern era without sacrificing any of its classic charm.
While the shapes and visual aesthetics differ between these three styles, the passion and dedication driving their creators to design excellence remains the same.
